Botswana Mission (April 28 - May 13, 2014)

Shortly after Becky's return from her first mission trip to build a house in Belize, she joined a team of three and traveled to Botswana in Africa in May 2014. She worked with the SCNs in Metsimotlhabe providing assistance to hospice and a daycare. She gave a presentation on stress management to a group of hospice workers and also volunteered in Lobatse in a school full of loving children. She volunteered in a preschool in Kenye and attended Eucharistic celebrations in remote locations. While in Africa she realized that, while they had so little by American standards, the people she met were the most grateful, joyful people you could imagine. She said the greatest gift we have to offer is service to others.
