In the Archdiocese of Washington, young people are invited to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation while in 8th grade. Any youth who wishes to receive this sacrament is asked to register for classes through the regular Religious Education program or through our parish school, St. John’s School. Candidates for the sacrament are expected to participate in both the 7th and 8th grade religious education programs for two consecutive years. Candidates need to be Baptized and willing to follow the guidelines our Parish requires. For older youth and adults who seek Confirmation, special arrangements are made according to their needs. Please contact the religious education office if you are an older youth or adult wishing to prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation.
