Father Raymond Schmidt, Pastor

Ministry to Sick and Homebound

St. John’s Eucharistic Ministers Of Holy Communion for the shut-in (homebound parishioners)

We match our homebound parishioners with our wonderful team of Eucharistic Ministers. We have some loving, giving Eucharistic Ministers who visit St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Solomon’s Nursing Home and many homes from Mechanicsville to Leonardtown, California, Lexington Park and many parishioners homes in-between. During the month, calls are made to the Eucharistic Ministers and/or the homebound to see how they are doing and if there are corporal works of mercy needed in the home.

Once a month a representative meets with our Pastor to go over the list of parishioners to make note of any changes or updates. We also focus on any new parishioners that may need our attention. We believe no one should be denied the blessing of receiving our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

For more information please contact Elisa Sweeney (240) 298-0328 eaglewoman111@hotmail.com
Please notify the rectory when a parishioner would like to receive the sacraments and is homebound, in a nursing home, or in the hospital.
