Knights of Columbus from Four Councils and Other Volunteers Assisted in Erecting the Memorial for the Innocents at St. John Francis Regis S.J. Church
On September 7 - 8, 2007, Members of Knights of Columbus Council #7914 prepared the site, marked the field and assisted in placing over 700 crosses as a memorial to the innocent children killed every working hour in our country by "Choice."
St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church hosts this display for three to four weeks each year before it is moved to yet another churchyard as a perpetual reminder of those whose lives are aborted.
Since 2004, this effort has been organized by Jim McFillin, member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Council and St. Mary's County Right to Life.
There are four such displays. They have stood at parishes and churches from Southern Maryland to Anne Arundel County to the Eastern Shore.
