Back to Knights of Columbus
On April 14, 2007, St. John Francis Regis Council fed and entertained 60 State Council Ladies, while the State Officers held their Spring Meeting at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Lexington Park (except for Chris Woehrer, whose absence was unexplained).
Members of Council #7914 provided a sumptious midday feast that included clam chowder, vegetable-beef soup, an assortment of fresh greens and dressings, and a choice of sliced deli turkey or Southern Maryland stuffed ham for sandwiches.

After lunch, Brother Knight Gary Rue and his friend, Dan Harbin, blended their voices in harmony and played a lively mix of tunes on guitar and dobro.

As they left the stage, Gary and Dan said that this was the most attentive and appreciative audience they had ever had the pleasure of entertaining. They were very grateful to have been asked to perform.
Just when the ladies thought the music was over, with little warning (other than the inexplicable dimming of the house lights and the theme music from "2001: A Space Odyssey" filling the gym), who should appear but Elvis himself!
